Support for the UFV

The performance of Funarbe has been marked by unconditional support for teaching, research and extension activities at the Universidade Federal de Viçosa (UFV). This support manifests itself through concrete actions, such as the management of contracts and agreements, management of the Dairy and Supermarket School, and the launch and maintenance of programs to encourage scientific and technological research, teaching and the extension of the UFV.

In order to stimulate the dissemination of knowledge, we support and sponsor events of a scientific, technological and cultural nature promoted by bodies linked to UFV. We also support journal publications related to the activities of the University. The contributions also extend to projects to do with philanthropic entities in Viçosa.
In 2016, 66 projects were supported covering the 3 UFV campuses (Rio Paranaíba, Florestal e Viçosa). Publications, courses, seminars, academic weeks, congresses, postgraduate courses, among other activities in several areas of knowledge, have received our support for accomplishment.

apoio-brancoFunarbic and Scientific Initiation

The Scientific Initiation Support Program (Funarbic) was implemented in 2007, the result of a partnership between Funarbe and the UFV research and post-graduation. Funarbic offers scientific initiation grants for projects developed by students, under the guidance of professors of the UFV, recently being doctors.

apoio-brancoFunarpeq and Young Doctors

In order to establish and consolidate research lines for the UFV’s young PhD students, Funarbe, in partnership with the Pro-Rectory for research and post-graduation, launched the Research Support Program for Young Researchers Teachers (Funarpeq) in 2007.

The Program profited from the UFV faculty with a doctorate completed in the last five years, through financing of projects of R$5 thousand. These will demonstrate the potential of becoming independent researchers, developing leadership in their area of expertise.

apoio-brancoFunarpós and Post-Graduation

The UFV Graduate Program (Funarpós) was created in 2008, the result of the partnership with a pro-rectory of research and post-graduation.  Through financial support, it strengthens the UFV graduate programs that received the concept of three and four in the last evaluation of Capes.

apoio-brancoFunarbex and University Extension

To stimulate extension activities at UFV, Funarbe launched the Extension Support Program (Funarbex) in partnership with the pro-rectory of extension and culture. The Program had its first public announcement in 2010, with the release of scholarships for undergraduate students.

apoio-brancoFunarpex and Young Teachers

A support program that values young teachers who have completed their doctorate in the last seven years, granting scholarships for research productivity.

apoio-brancoFunarben and Teaching Support

A program that strengthens teaching, by encouraging the interaction between teachers and students for the structural, organizational and functional improvement of teaching, in the academic community.

apoio-brancoFunarserv and Technical-Administrative Servers

Support Program for Technical-Administrative Servers that, through financial support, encourages the qualification of UFV servers.

In December 2012, Funarbe launched the Funarbe Award for Research Recognition, with the objective of rewarding researchers who contribute significantly to the academic-scientific development of the Universidade Federal de Viçosa (UFV).
